It was a year to the day that I posted my last blog - and it was my intention to add a bit each day 'as you do' - however, I think various events took over and I never seemed to make the time to actually blog.
Now 2013 has arrived I thought it appropriate to briefly review last year and make some sort of effort to post regularly this year.
The most significant thing to happen was moving house. We decided to move out to the country again and found a house in the Exe valley which needed quite a bit of tlc which would be a bit of a project. It took quite a while to sort it all out, we spent six months trying to buy the house and three months making it considerably more habitable. We are well on the way with the interior and hopefully in the next couple of months will have completed this. In the Spring we will start on the exterior, walls and windows and start to develop the garden. The aim is to make something of the place within twelve months of moving in which we could just about achieve. I will be posting various photos of the house and how it evolves on this blog and on my flickr link. We were fortunate to have had lots of help, especially in the first month, from friends and family which kick started the renovation in a very positive way, so many thanks to all and sundry who put in some very hard work to help us out. We are looking forward to enjoying country living again, there is something very special leaning against a warm Aga on a cold wet winters day!
So here's to 2013 and life in the country...
