Congratulations....

After a somewhat turbulent summer and early autumn which saw the passing of Marg's dad after three months of being in and out of hospital, culminating in two weeks of intensive care before he died. This was followed by lots of organising of funeral and thanksgiving, which all went exceptionally well and which we will always remember. Now the dust has started to settle and we are beginning to reclaim areas of the house for our own use and to re-design our living spaces considerably. Because we have always had someone living in part of the house it is quite strange to be able to organise our own things into all of the rooms. We have also had the studio roof replaced this week and this will ensure we can make the most of the cinema, work and storage areas in that building over the coming months without the fear of leaks! So life in the old house on the hill is starting to change and offer us new options and alternatives. We are looking forward to a family Christmas and to a bright new year, and with the announcement yesterday of William and Kate's wedding this will be something good for the country to focus on during the year. There will inevitably be critics trying to tell them how much it should or shouldn't cost but I hope they just do it the way they want to. The spin off feelgood factor and income to the country could be phenominal so hope that spreads across the retail sector. So, if you happen to read this, William or Kate, good on you and congratulations on your engagement!
