True Colours...

Pedal to the metal in second, hard on the brakes and turn in to 90 right, accelerate fifty yards, brake hard and turn into 90 right, gradually accelerate to flat out aiming for the right of the next fifty, slight dab on brakes into the S section cutting both apexes, aim left into the next 90 right, brake hard (don't forget the spectators are in your line if you lose it!) turn in hard aiming for the tyre on the right apex, watch the hump, accelerate thirty yards then lose enough speed to go around the loop and exit sharp left, accelerate hard across left apex and then right apex into main straight again to start lap two. After a few laps around this small but entertaining track I was amazed how much fun you could have in a little Starlet. No matter how hard we tried, and we did, we could not make it even lift a back wheel. The set up was fantastic on the dry and grippy track surface. So, that was Saturday with a few pics added on Flickr. Haynes has a great museum too, and well worth a visit if you live within striking distance of Sparkford, Somerset. Nine of us and four cars all had an excellent day.

Sunday was a change of pace, meeting our friends Ian & Angela at Coleton Fishacre in South Devon. This is a beautiful Lutchyns style house set right in the coast furnished and decorated totally in the Art Deco style. The day was magnificent, Mediterranean sunshine all day making the place just stunning (Pics also on Flickr). Wonderful house, fantastic day and lovely friends, what more could you want.....

Almost missed the German Grand Prix but luckily Steve recorded it so watched it in evening!
