Well if anyone gets to read this I will be amazed since it's the first time I've blogged for ages as you can see. Quite a lot has happened but I won't bore you with all the details. Suffice to say that Emma and Adam have moved out to a nice little bungalow in Silverton. a quiet village near Exeter with a really good feel to it. They're happier to be a proper family again and have they're own space. That also means that we have a bit of free space too. yippee. Don't get too excited though, it's only till May 19th when Marg's Dad moves in to live with us. I would be interested in any comments on that!! The work that's been ongoing with the house is now complete and we have a brand new upstairs and hallway and bathroom. It has turned out very well and makes the house into a very well laid out place and has created a comfortable amount of extra living space. Well worth the hassle, although I might not have said that at Christmas!! I have posted some pics of the end result which definitely enhances the whole building. So, this year apart from getting used to an extra member of the household, we aim to improve the garden a bit and hopefully build the pond as well as sort out the studio into some sort of useable venue for large screen dvd's etc. (and probably a bolt hole for anyone needing some extra space or who doesn't want to play daily scrabble!! Business has been a bit slower that we would have liked this year but we are ever hopeful for an upturn. Robyn Hughes has passed her second birthday and is really progressing exceptionally (well I would say that) as are Anna Abbie and Joe, all growing into characterful and thinking young people. (I can't imagine where they get it from!!). Currently the garden is springing into colour, changing a little each day, which makes this a very pleasant place to live. The toadpoles are growing legs and we have at least one Great Crested Newt in the small pond. Runner beans were put in today in little wigwam thingys so I hope the slugs don't eat them (bastards better not!) . Anyway I am going to pour myself a kier (if thats how you spell it?) before making dinner for Marg on a late day today. Guess what? I'm gonna try to get back and blog more regularly again, so if you happen to read this let me know and I will feel that it's not all a waste of time....bye....
