One decision we (ie Marg and I) made when we moved to Highmead was that we would try only to hang original artwork (or at least numbered prints) if we could. With this in mind Marg and I bought each other two new pieces for Christmas. Strangley, although bought completely individually they are both based on on rocks, water and waves. Marg bought me a framed acrylic painting called ' Coast ' by a local artist Clive Burrell (pics to follow) which will fit well in the new bedroom scheme. I bought Marg a piece called ' Sennen IX ' by an artist friend Tim Salter. This is mixed media relief painting, from some sketches completed in Sennen in Cornwall, with a rather metallic look and is unframed.
The house project is getting there at long last with paint and tiles starting to go on. The work involved to create a space like this is unbelievable. We are really looking forward to being able to use the extra space and spread out again. Choosing the final fitments is quite fun as long as you don't dwell to long on the prices!
Adam is back at Catterick for a few weeks and will be paying weekend visits to Emma and Robyn, as well as organising the moving of their furniture from storage in Darlington to a rented house in Exeter they hope to move into at the beginning of February. So the changing of residents at Highmead will continue with Margs Dad due to move in with us around the beginning of March once all the work is complete and we are sorted for space.
So thats a quick update for today..
