how to total a TVR.....
Ok, so its been a month since I put finger to keyboard and it feels like little progress with or conversion. There has been quite a bit but it's not going to get completed by Christmas. My bet is on the middle of Jan (2007 that is!) to see the back of the builders and a couple of weeks after that to do carpets etc and move into the space. It will, however, be a really brilliant addition to the house, making it much more flexible. The tiles are gradually covering the roof and looking very good and it will be a relief to be completely watertight again. The last month has been pretty good on the sales front, and we have succeeded in meeting our targets so far this year. Had one strange weekend in which we were coming home very late from a gig in North Devon in appauling conditions , very high wind and heavy rain. We were having to avoid tree branches etc all the way. Somewhere in the middle of nowhere we just managed to stop before hitting a tree right across the road. Unfortunately the car coming the opposite way didn't, and crashed into the tree. We then spent about half an hour in the pouring rain cutting and moving the tree. The girls from the band had all had a few drinks and they just thought the whole episode was a laugh despite the fact that we all got absolutely soaked. Lifes a bitch when you're on your own with four squiffy girls in stage clothes all soaked to the skin......back to reality! The following day we went out to have lunch with emma in a cottage her an adam were renting for a couple of weeks. On his way back from a day supervising paintballing adam witnessed a guy total a very nice TVR by showing off to his girlfriend with a 360 roll right in front of him. Turned out the bloke driving was an ex D&D soldier who adam knew by name. Shame about the TVR but I expect he was used to driving a tank! He certainly won't be driving that TVR again! Well, I don't know what 2007 will bring but Marg's Dad will be moving up with us in the first couple of months on a permanent basis and I guess adam and emma will want to get a place of their own before too long or when adam comes out of the army. I am looking forward to getting our place sorted and organised again so we can make good use of all the space. Gonna try to do more artwork, music and set up a film/ slide show area in the studio. Marg is doing well at the new practice in Sidmouth and already has them all under control! I always feel better when I've written something in my blog even if it's a load of drivel that nobody else reads. Still have a problem with my mac not letting me blog pics. So have to do this at work, but it is in my contract, honest!!
