The badgers are digging up my grass (i was going to call it a lawn but that would be lying) and if they don't pack it in we will need to instigate our own 'in house' badger cull! the problem is what to do with culled badger. if anyone has any seasonal recipes please let me know. talking about badgers i have been badgered today to write my blog. apparently in the small print of my contract as a used car salesman it says 'personal blogging must be completed during each working day or deductions will be made to monthly salary' i can't imagine who would have slipped that clause in! talking about clauses i went christmas shopping with steve on sat morning. imagine the scene - steve has been driving round and round the block in the hope that miraculasly (correct spellin em?) a parking space big enough to fit a murvi camper van will suddenly appear - on what feels like the tenth lap with the 3 kids saying are we there yet anna suddenly realises that steve has not got his seat belt on - daddy daddy she pipes up put your seat belt on you haven't got your seat belt on - to which abbi replies shut up anna your interrupting - he's on the phone!
so we went shopping which was fun - but why do the large stores not want you to pay for anything. there was one pay point on each floor which meant long queues. over the tannoy it clearly said 'welcome to debenhams to make it easier for you to shop you can take your purchases to any pay point you wish in the store' - seemed a very good idea so we picked up a couple of dvd games and then searched for a pay point with a queue short enough not to need a comfort break. we waited our turn and eventually got to the counter. 'oh no we can't take the money for this at this counter you'll need to go back to the games counter to get the discs - and he opened the boxes which of course were empty. oh well it was only about twenty more minutes waiting for the inserts and it was a really nice place to stand! had a gig with the band on sat night drove for an hour through torrential rain and floods to the middle of nowhere (shebbear actually which is the middle of nowhere and where the stars are well - brilliant!) had a good gig with food etc and got home after 3am. the next thing i heard was the door bell at 9.25am when some family friends from gosport had arrived for a visit. oops i think i forgot... i was a bit blurry eyed for a few minutes as you can imagine (maybe don't try) but is was good to see them. Marg has been away over the weekend so i guess i will need to make sure the place look reasonable before tomorrow evening -not that there's much to do of course! Prime fillet of badger with cranberry sauce with port and orange, saute potatoes and fresh brocolli spears....yea that sounds quite tasty...
