what a brilliant christmas we have had. no arguments, well not many anyway, and time to spend and enjoy with our kids and grandkids. adam and emma have been down for a week with robyn who is certainly coming on in leaps and bounds. crawling everywhere and standing up whenever possible. she looked an absolute hoot in her reindeer outfit on christmas day. having a dog in the house for a week has been interesting -for the cats anyway. one of which has spent most of her time hiding in a corner on top the microwave. so if you hear reports about a very thin flourescent cat in exeter that'll be our scrag end of microwaved cat .
the main day was spent with steve, sarah, anna, abbie and joe who were all fantastic and gave us a really lovely time with far too much to eat and drink. i had lots of goodies, wine, books, cd's etc but best pressy was my i-pod nano. its amazing and looks very cool (i think). however i am really annoyed with myself currently because in my first attempt to download one more cd to add to the dozen brilliant ones sarah put on for me has ended in disaster. i don't know what i managed to do (any suggestions ungratefully recieved cause i'm still annoyed) but i've lost all, yes all of the cds on the flipping thing. ah well now i have something to do for the rest of my week off and i'm very sorry sarah! perhaps i am beginning to understand why i was given voluntary redundancy from teaching as one of my jobs was being in charge of ict. as you will have gathered this is a pretty ordinary blog but i do have a cunning plan for the new year to get my blog back on it's wayward path!......
