groundhog road, groundhog road, groundhog road...

Had a brilliantly sunny day on sunday (apart from missing the grand prix..) we drove down the coastal road from kinsale to clonakilty. Some stunning views of coast and sea. The small towns and villages en route were full of incredibly brightly coloured houses and shops, purples, reds, yellows, dark blues, orange, greens and pinks all next to each other, and this was the whole houses not just the woodwork making for a very striking impact. Lots of coves with sand banks covered with estuary type birds. Have taken lots of pics, in fact I may have to buy an extra card for the camera! Had a groundhog day experience on the way back to cork, taking a wrong turn without realising and about half an hour later ending up at a junction we had passed earlier, having gone round in a great big circle!! Someone had warned us that the country folk like to turn the signs around for fun and to confuse grockles like us..I didn't quite see the feckin joke!!! Caught a early filum when we got back to cork - Cinderella Man - was really good and would recommend it. Then found a bistro bar for a bit of food and a couple of drinks before we hit the hay - you do have to sleep on hay and with the goats in this country!!! (or should that be the old goat)
Galway next - I assume that somewhere in galway bay there will be an internet connection...we shall see!
