Smoking....

After speaking to a lawn mower specialist today, I came home to perform major surgery on my little red machine. Took some bits off, looked at them, cleaned them up and put them back. For a few moments I thought it was going to run ok but then came the blue smoke, like a formula 1 car that has blown its engine only smaller and slower. I think maybe the piston ring has broken so it looks terminal. Pity since the grass won't stop growing - looks like we're in for a new mower, unless someone out there is a lawn mower angel and can tell me otherwise. Enough of that, did anyone watch the 'Tribe' documentary last night about the bloke who spent time with the Suri tribe? I thought it was quite fascinating. Typical that the first bit of westernisation to reach these people should be guns! What chance have they got , I wonder?
Dennis (the lodger) played a Mike Olfield track using dolphin sounds and Neil Armstrong reading from Genesis, he said it is quite recent, but it was very interesting and would make an excellent backing track for some visuals.

ah well, think yourself lucky, I just read another friend's blog whose husband also hit a rock with a mower and they ended up spending 4 hours in A&E with their 7yo who got the rock in her face. oops.

The offer of the pushalong still stands ;)
